One slippery kitty!

august 2022

There’s all kinds of challenges involved in travelling these days… Flights are getting cancelled, baggage lost, airports are capping numbers to try to calm the chaos…

But if you happened to fly into Logan International Airport in Boston, there’s another kind of chaos that you’ll have to deal with…

Cat chaos.

A cat named Rowdy has been terrorising travellers for 3 months, ever since she escaped after a long flight from Germany to the US. When the flight landed, the kitty escaped from her cage, in pursuit of some birds. And despite the efforts of her family, construction workers, animal welfare volunteers and airport staff to catch her, she’s been on the loose ever since. She’s one slippery kitty!

Now, at Millennium Cargo we move all kinds of goods around the world – from t-shirts and noodle sauce to jukeboxes, classic cars and wholesale items. We don’t move cats. But we do know a thing or two about packaging your cargo correctly.

You see, it doesn’t matter if you’re shipping kitties or kitchen goods, you’ve got to know what you’re doing when it comes to protecting your cargo before its journey. Your cargo might not actively try to escape like Rowdy, but it can get broken, damaged – or rejected at customs – if you don’t process and prepare it correctly.

It’s a lot to think about. And most people just don’t have the knowledge of the rules, regulations and risks you need to think about when it comes to preparing your cargo for transport. The good news is that you don’t need to become a freight expert. You just need to trust the experts.

Here at Millennium Cargo, we’re all about making moving your goods easy and hassle-free. We’ve a whole team of experts ready to help you – they’ll tell you everything you need to know about preparing, packing and shipping your goods. We might not know much about keeping kitties contained, but we do know how to make sure your goods arrive safely.

So what happened to Rowdy in the end? After 3 long and stressful months, she was finally caught and returned to her family. A happy ending for everyone.

What about you? Do you have any happy stories to share? I’d love to hear them…
