Awkward

March 2023

When you’ve been in freight as long as I have, you’ve seen it all… There really are no limits on the things people try to move from country to country.

Antique jukeboxes, classic cars, cabbages, teapots with inappropriate images on them...

You name it, I’ve seen it!!

Most cargo is fairly straightforward. You package it right, pop it in a container and Bob’s your uncle! But some cargo is just… awkward. It could be too big, too heavy, too wide or too dangerous. That’s when you need expert advice.

Just a couple of weeks ago we got asked to move a car carrier filled with cars – might sound simple enough, but the total weight made it too heavy. And just last week we were asked to move a whole aeroplane! This awkward cargo is called “Project Cargo” and not everyone can do it.

At Millennium Cargo we pride ourselves on being able to move anything, anywhere. From the size of a matchstick box to an oil rig. With over 25 years of experience in the industry, we’ve got the team, the knowledge and the contacts to get the job done.

That’s why we’re super excited to welcome our newest team member too. Keith is joining us with a wealth of experience in project cargo. He’s worked in freight for over 40 years and will be an excellent addition to the team. He’ll be based in London, and will work closely with the rest of the Millennium Cargo network to help you move your awkward cargo quickly, easily and in a cost-effective manner. So, got someone awkward, big, heavy or huge to move? Give Keith a call! He’ll show you how it’s done…

Now, you know I love to hear your stories too – so what’s the most awkward cargo you’ve ever had to move?
