There’s something about this time of year that makes you stop and take a minute…

Maybe it’s the slower mornings, the quieter roads, the smell of cinnamon and gravy in the air (not together, obviously). Or maybe it’s the way Christmas sort of forces you to lift your head, look around, and think “blimey, where’s the year gone?”

Now don’t get me wrong, I love what I do. I’ve been in freight since I left school. 38 years later, I still get excited when a tough job lands and we pull it off. Still feel proud when a container we’ve worked hard to move gets to its destination, on time, no drama. Still feel massive gratitude when a new client becomes a long-term partner.

But here’s what I’ve really learned (and maybe you’ve felt this too?) Business is never really just about business. It’s about building something that gives you freedom. Not just financial freedom, but time freedom. It’s about creating a life where you don’t miss the little things, because those little things? They end up being the big things. Like sitting round the table with your family, belly full of roasties, laughing about absolutely nothing. Or watching Die Hard for the 14th time and still pretending it’s your first. Or walking the dog on Boxing Day morning with no meetings, no calls, and no deadlines swirling in your brain. That’s what we’re really working for, isn’t it?

So my message to you this Christmas is simple…be sure to take the time to enjoy it.  Take the moments that matter – and don’t feel guilty about it. The trucks can wait. The freight can wait. Even the emails can wait (yes, really).

So on that note, before I wish you a very Merry Christmas and take a break, here’s our opening (and closing!) times this season.

24th Dec – Open 0900–1200

25th–28th Dec – Closed

29th & 30th Dec – Open 0900–1700

31st Dec – Open 0900–1200

Have a very Merry Christmas and thank you once again for your support, custom and friendship this year. Millennium really wouldn’t be the same without you…
