Who Is Steering The Boat?

# Boris.

Probably the word that has trended the most this week on social media.

Love him or hate him, it seems he is here to stay.

Now, I’m not a huge Boris fan myself, Or any politician at all come to think of it, but I’m glad we’ve got someone with a bit of drive behind the wheel.

He might be messy, short-tempered and have terrible, terrible hair. But it seems he is a man who can get a job done.

Well, he has to be better than no leader at all right?

Over the last few years, and certainly since Teresa May handed in her notice, Britain has been without a strong leader.

There was no one to give us direction or steer us through the rough waters ahead.

We were pretty much lost at sea in a storm, hoping the lifeboats stayed afloat!

Now, I’m no politician and I won’t pretend to be, but I’ve found watching this whole Charlie Foxtrot absolutely fascinating.

You see, this isn’t the first time I’ve seen this problem.

It’s not only countries that need good leaders. Businesses do too.

Too many times have I seen businesses struggle and go under, just because there was no one taking control.

No one steering the business towards its goals. No one planning ahead, taking responsibility and fighting the battles that make it come out on top.

If you’re a business owner that’s not a natural-born leader then taking control (and responsibility) can be a daunting idea.

But you’ve got to do it.

If you want to be successful, you’ve got to be the strong leader. The one who gives direction, inspires people and steers your business through the storms.

No one else can do that job. It’s down to you.

If you’re not leading then no one is… And we’ve all seen what a mess that can make..
