If I asked you what Millennium do, what would you say? My guess is that you’d say we’re sea freight experts who do container shipments. And you wouldn’t be wrong.
But that’s not the whole picture.
Did you know that we also move a huge amount of cargo through Europe by road? Are you aware that we provide air freight services globally? And did you know that we can move incredibly challenging items that don’t fit inside a container to anywhere in the world?
You see, I’m guilty of the same mistake that many business owners make. I’m so proud of our sea freight service, that I sometimes forget to make sure that I shout about our other services too.
But our other services are exciting.
For example, just last month we took on the task of moving a piling rig from Southampton to San Antonio in Chile. That’s no mean feat! This whopping 36 ton monster of a machine wouldn’t fit inside a standard shipping container so it needed a specialist approach. But did you know we offer this break bulk and out of gauge service? Maybe not.
I could make excuses and come up with a list of reasons why it’s not my fault. But really it is. Everything in my business is my fault. If something goes wrong, it’s my fault. If something goes well, it’s my fault. If my customers don’t know about all the services we offer, that’s my fault too.
So what services do you offer that your clients don’t know about? What can you do to help them that you don’t shout loud enough about? The chances are that there’s something you’re not telling them and it’s leaving money on the table.
