Well, that’s it. I’ve gone and done it…
I’ve finally reached the ripe old age of 50 – I’m officially half a century old.
In my culture here in the UK, age isn’t celebrated like in some.
It’s feared. There’s a real attitude of getting older being a really negative thing… but I see things a little differently.
I might be leaving my younger years behind me. I might even be officially middle-aged. But instead of worrying about my wrinkles and fearing getting older, I’m truly grateful.
Grateful for every one of those 50 years I’ve had the opportunity to live my life, raise my kids and build my business.
Grateful for every experience I’ve had, every Villa match I’ve been to and every friend I’ve made along the way.
And grateful for the wisdom age brings and the opportunities that still lay before me.
2021 is a big year for me.
Not only do I turn 50 but in a couple of months, Millennium Cargo turns 25! That’s 25 years of supporting our customers and helping keep freight forwarding simple.
So how are we celebrating?
Well, while I’m happy to age gracefully – I’m not happy to let Millennium do the same. So over the next few months, Millennium Cargo is going to get a bit of a facelift.
New branding, new website, same old customer-focused values. It’s all very exciting.
And what about me? How will I be celebrating my big 5-0?
I bet you already know the answer to that one… I’ll be in the pub with a pint celebrating getting older and counting my blessings…
So what about you? How do you celebrate your big birthdays and what are you most grateful for as you age?
