I’m so excited!
I’m not going to lie – lockdown has been a rollercoaster ride for me.
I’ve had up days and down days. Good weeks and bad.
The business has had to overcome challenges I could never in a million years have predicted – in fact, Covid has been impacting freight for nearly 8 months now!
I’ve had to juggle working in my living room, with living on top of my family and not being able to escape to the office.
But the real kicker was that they cancelled the football and shut the pub!
Now, if you know me then you’ll know I love a good beer down the pub. It’s where I catch up with friends, let my hair down and have some fun.
So when good old Boris announced that pubs were to reopen this weekend I actually did a little whoop of joy!
Life is starting to get back to normal.
But that said, we won’t see REAL normal for quite a while yet.
It’s not just that pub that Covid deprived me of – it’s put a stop to my travels too! As you know travelling the world, connecting with people and building relationships is a big part of what I do.
This year I was supposed to be jetting off on business trips to Cambodia, Phuket, Athens and Spain. All cancelled.
The worst part of this is that I won’t get to catch up with you guys – my dearest customers, freight partners and friends.
Even though the pubs are open, we won’t be able to enjoy a drink and a catch up at the big freight forwarder conferences or events.
But I had an idea!
Just because we can’t enjoy a beer in person, doesn’t mean we can’t catch up on Zoom or WhatsApp.
So if you’d like a chat and a catch up then drop me an email, get the beers in the fridge and let’s do our own little one to one conference!
It’d be great to see you!
