A Punch In The Gut…

I hate rejection.

That punch in the gut feeling when someone tells you ‘no’ they don’t want what you’re offering.

I really, truly hate it.

But despite that, I still put myself out there, approaching new prospects and trying to build connections every single day.

Why? Because I truly believe in the value that we bring to our customers. I see it as my duty to help as many people as possible to get the very best freight service.

And I know we can deliver on our promise.

There’s just one problem.

Sometimes people are reluctant to change.

They hear what we have to offer, understand that we can save them time, money and stress but they still won’t make the move.

It’s baffled me for years. I spent days and days trying to work out where I was going wrong? What was I missing? What was I failing to communicate?

Then one day, someone said something that made it click.

They said “Chadd, that all sounds great, but I just don’t have the time to change supplier. I know they could be better, but I just can’t even get my head around what I’d have to do to change”

I understood the problem.

I was doing a great job of selling what we can do for them, without realising the perceived pain they thought they would encounter if they made the change.

Shipping is very simple, but people try to make it sound more complex than it is. These people I was approaching thought that changing to us would involve some long, complex and time-consuming process.

This was brilliant news.

Because they were mistaken. Changing to us is really easy.

Step 1: Ask for a quote. We’ll get back to you within 2 hours!
Step 2: Give us the go-ahead.
Step 3: Sit back and relax while we do the rest!

No hassle, no complex process, no time-consuming tasks.

So, next time a prospect tells you ‘no’ be sure to find out what the real reason is. You might be surprised…

And the next time you need a freight service, chat to Chadd. It really is that simple…
